Course Details

Professional resilience involves maintaining effective functioning, adapting to pressure and recovering after demanding periods rather than simply tolerating ever-increasing workloads. This course introduces a practical framework for understanding resilience in the context of contemporary work. Participants examine the interaction between pressure, recovery, boundaries, habits and perceived control.

The course moves beyond motivational slogans to focus on behaviours and working practices that can be adjusted in realistic professional environments. Participants consider individual strategies alongside the influence of workload, role expectations and team practices. The emphasis is on developing sustainable responses to pressure rather than normalising chronic overload.

Outcomes

• Explain the relationship between pressure, recovery and sustained performance.
• Identify personal and workplace factors that strengthen or undermine resilience.
• Apply practical techniques for managing periods of increased demand.
