Advanced CPD: Judgement, Complexity and Decision Pressure
MindWorks PRO Performance Faculty
Course reference: EAC-MW-A4-JCD

Course Details
Complex decisions often involve ambiguity, competing objectives and pressure to act before certainty is possible. This advanced course examines how professionals can maintain decision discipline when conventional analysis does not produce a single obvious answer. Participants explore judgement, uncertainty, cognitive bias and the practical management of competing priorities.
The course uses complex scenarios to examine how information is weighted, assumptions are challenged and decision thresholds are established. Participants practise identifying what is known, what remains uncertain and what genuinely matters to the decision. The objective is not to eliminate uncertainty but to improve the quality and defensibility of judgement within it.
Outcomes
• Identify assumptions, cognitive pressures and information gaps affecting judgement.
• Establish proportionate decision thresholds when complete certainty is unavailable.
• Communicate complex decisions and their reasoning more clearly.
